WIRELESS Internet Access:
Recruiters may register for a VT Wireless guest account, using a valid e-mail address, by requesting wireless network service from a sponsoring department (BH). To create a guest account, please visit the following site and follow the instructions: https://guest.cns.vt.edu/(Under the "Sponsoring Department", select "Business Horizons")
To ensure access is set up on the fair dates, please complete the request form prior to September 15th fair, if at all possible.
SHIPPING MATERIALS to the Fair:

IMPORTANT NOTE:
Although the Hollins' information asks you to include your BH Booth number, when completing information, YOU DO NOT NEED TO INCLUDE THIS INFORMATION. BH WILL PROVIDE THAT INFORMATION TO HOLLINS FOR ALL EMPLOYERS.
For those companies who have arranged shipping, through Hollins Exhibits, your materials will be in your designated booth by 8:00 AM the day of the fair. Please do not ask Hollins to deliver to your hotel. Also, if you are using private carriers, please do NOT have the materials delivered to Squires--- By University policy, they will not receive shipments on behalf of exhibiting employers. To ensure receipt of all packages, we suggest that you utilize the service provided by Hollins. Shipment information will be sent to you, directly from Hollins, in advance of the fair (30 days before the fair). Return shipping information will be given to you on the day of the fair by Hollins staff.
Efforts will also be made for any employer attending both Engineering Expo and Business Horizons, to have your materials labeled and moved from the Expo booth to the proper BH booth. A BH representative will approach you during Expo, about labeling your materials that will be moved to BH booths.
STUDENT ATTENDANCE NUMBERS:
Based on past BH fair data, approximately 2000 attend the Business Horizons Fair each year. With recruiting times spanning from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, many students who have class during various parts of the day, come to the fair at a fairly spread out, steady pace. On average, 350-400 new students come into the fair area, every hour, throughout the span of the day. All class levels of students attend the fair. All majors in Pamplin attend the fair, along with smaller portions of students from the other six colleges within the university.
BREAKFAST, LUNCH and WATER SERVICE during the fair:
Continental Breakfast will be served from 8:00 AM - 10:00 AM. Lunch will be served from 12:00 Noon to 2:00 PM. Water will be available throughout the day, for employers. BH Volunteers will also be on hand to get water as you need it.
POWER OUTLETS in the BH Booths:
Each booth will be supplied with a 110-volt duplex power outlet with ample plugs. NO additional charges for power outlets. All booths are wired.
PARKING Day of Fairs:
Employers are asked to follow the Driving Directions to campus below..... We ask that you simply UNLOAD your vehicle FIRST, tell a volunteer your company name, then return to your vehicle and follow the directions below, for parking your vehicle in the designated fair lot. At the time of unloading, you will be given instructions and directions/map of the designation parking lot for fair participants. Parking permits will be issued to all attending employers. Parking Permit hang tags will be given out at the time the employer checks in, either at the Reception, the evening prior to their fair, as well as during Employer Check-in, the morning of their fair.

ATTIRE for RECRUITERS (Reception and Fair):
Generally, we encourage employer recruiters to relax and enjoy themselves at the BH Reception, so please feel as though business casual attire will be fine. For the day of fair, there is a wide mix of attire, from business casual (Khaki and Polos), to business attire (Suits), and is completely at the individual recruiter's discretion. The attending students are expected to attend in business attire.
SHUTTLE VAN SERVICES, day of fair:
A shuttle van service will provided from 7:30am-11:00am and then from 3:00pm-6:00pm. With the designated parking area for recruiters, across campus from the fair venue (Squires Student Center), recruiters are asked to unload at Squires first, follow instructions to the designated parking area, and ride the shuttle van back to the fair. Shuttle vans are only scheduled to loop between the fair venue and the designated parking lot. Shuttles cannot alter their course to pick up at area hotels, etc.
